obligation to take the necessary steps to eliminate these risks. NWK’s goal is to attain and
maintain the highest possible standards of health and safety in all areas of the company’s
operations.
As part of this commitment the board promotes safety awareness among all directors, officials
and employees and the company provides safety and health advice to its officials, staff, as well
as operating and subsidary managers. Two feedback sessions per year on the state of NWK’s
occupational safety takes place during the board’s Ethics and Social Committee meeting.

Environmental management and statutory requirements form part of business
development and expansion. During business development we ensure that the
necessary environmental impact studies are carried out to obtain the relevant
permission from the Department of Environmental Affairs.
As part of this commitment the board promotes awareness of the environment
among the directors, designated officers and staff, and the company provides
environmental advice to its designated officers, staff, as well as industry and
subsidiary managers. Two feedback sessions per year on the status of NWK’s
environmental management take place during the board’s ethics and social
committee meeting.
