The strategic focus of Africa business is to expand NWK’s
footprint in other African countries by identifying, investigating
and, where relevant, implementing opportunities that link to
NWK’s overhead strategy.
Botswana – input supply
Mont-Trade Proprietary Limited in Botswana is a subsidiary of NWK and serves
the African market with inputs through three business units: Montenegro Agric
Trade Proprietary Limited, The Agri-Shop and Opti Feeds Botswana.
• Feed Centre Botswana
The head office of Feed Centre Botswana is located in Gaborone, Botswana
and also has five other Agrishop operations that are located strategically
across Botswana. Feed Centre is a supplier of agricultural machinery
and equipment, agrochemicals, irrigation
equipment, seed and animal and poultry
products. Feed Centre Botswana
is also the only distributor of
Cobb broilers in Botswana
• Opti Feeds Botswana
This modern animal feed
factory is located in Gaborone,
Botswana and is a supplier
and manufacturer of a
comprehensive range of animal
and poultry-feed products.
• Montenegro Agric Trade
This business unit is located in Lichtenburg and
is a supplier of agricultural machinery and equipment
(combine harvesters and tractors), as well as a
comprehensive range of animal and poultry products.

Zambia – processing of cotton; input supply
NWK Agri-Services in Zambia is currently involved in the processing of cotton at
five gins located across the country. The cotton lint is sold to LDC, while the cotton
seed is sold locally to oil crushers. Surplus cotton seed is exported to South Africa
and Namibia. Currently, grain purchases (maize and soybeans) and retail stores
where agricultural inputs and mechanisation equipment is sold on a limited scale
are being established.

As a leading role player in agriculture, NWK remains up to date on

strategically involved in specialised ventures and activities that
supplement NWK’s diversified product and service package with

4 Africa Exchange (4AX) stock exchange
After a decision by the Financial Services Board (FSB) to change regulations pertaining
to over-the-counter trading platforms, NWK was part of a consortium of multinational
companies that established a new licensed stock exchange in 2015.
This exchange accommodates shareholders in
unlisted private companies of which the shares
are currently sold over the counter (OTC).
Although it still has listing requirements, 4AX is
an affordable alternative to the JSE for smaller
companies. It facilitates the trading of shares
over the counter and increases the exposure
and liquidity of the shares. The 4AX group,
which is led by the Bravura financial group, provides a low-cost but well-
regulated solution to issues and investors by way of a proven world-class
technology trading platform.
